- approve the College’s quality strategy
- ensure the effective and efficient use of resources, the solvency of the College and the Corporation and safeguarding assets

College Governors have adopted the Nolan’s seven principles of public life (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership) in carrying out these responsibilities.
Corporation meetings are usually held seven times a year in the early evening. There are also opportunities to join committees set up to review specific aspects for example the College’s academic performance or estates issues. Governors are involved in College life and attend College events such as award evenings, showcases and major competitions.
