Are you creative and interested in the exciting and ever changing media sector? Do you watch films and wish it were you behind the camera calling the shots?

If you answered yes, then courses in this area could be right up your street.

Study programmes in this area specialise in developing a broad range of creative thinking and production based skills from across the creative media spectrum.

Our courses will give you the opportunity to explore and experiment with a range of media and photography forms and practices to allow audiences, readers, viewers and users to think, talk, interact and create for themselves.

As well as developing personal and professional skills, our study programmes are embedded with key components such as practical skills development, historical and contextual understanding and the ideas and concepts behind visual communication techniques.

There are no formal qualifications for our Level 1 courses.

These study programmes have been designed to prepare you to progress to study at Level 2 or to employment. These programmes not only give an insight to your chosen vocational area, but also give you the opportunity to undertake work experience and other activities that will prepare you quickly to get a job or to move on to higher levels in your chosen field. These programmes also include the development on maths and English skills.

You will need to have successfully completed a relevant Level 1 course or have 4 GCSEs at grade G (new grading system: 1) or above or have industry related experience.

We will also work with you to help you develop maths and English skills.
