“I hadn’t thought of going to Oxford until one of my teachers mentioned that the Oxford application deadline was coming up. I just decided to give it a go and apply. The Vice Principal gave me lots of advice on my personal statement and, when I got an interview, the Principal helped me prepare for the interview process. I’ve always been good at Maths but studying at the Sixth Form Centre has made me enjoy subjects more than I did when I was at school and the staff opened my eyes to the options I have.”

“My teachers were very supportive and approachable and so when I was struggling with an aspect of the course, including coursework,I could go to them and they would help me. I enjoyed the college atmosphere, sense of community and opportunities the college offered. I would encourage prospective students to pursue subjects they love, because at times it can be difficult. You are less likely to give up on something that you love and it will all be worth it in the end.”

“I enjoyed developing my abilities in each subject and being able to obtain a deeper understanding of my subjects over the past two years which I can apply in the future. The support from teachers was always very useful as they were always available to help with any issues. My advice to prospective students would be to ‘knuckle down’ and study hard. A-levels can be tough but set yourself a goal and you CAN do it! Choose subjects you love because you will then love studying them and you will do well.”
