Supporting Growth Economies

Liverpool and the Merseyside region is growing and new opportunities are springing up all over the area. This is set to continue with large scale infrastructure projects and a steep rise in investment set to offer more opportunities than ever before to those leaving school this year.

Hugh Baird College is committed to ensuring that the young people of Merseyside are well placed to take advantage of these opportunities. We are working closely with the Liverpool City Region Enterprise Partnership to ensure that the courses and enrichment activities that we offer support young people in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve in the most exciting growth areas of our local economy.

LEP’s 4 Key Priority Growth Areas:

  • SuperPort
  • Low Carbon Economy
  • Knowledge Economy
  • Visitor Economy

All of our School Liaison taster activities are designed to support at least one of these priority areas. Download our School Liaison brochure here and look out for the information detailing which of these exciting avenues of employment a Hugh Baird College course could lead to!
