My journey studying my A-levels was a real roller coaster, at first I found the leap from GCSE to A-levels very difficult. However, the support I received from not only staff, but the new friends I'd made, was amazing. You are allowed and encouraged to be independent, which really helped with my transition to university which involves a lot of independent study.

Time management was also a great skill I learned at Hugh Baird as the onus is on you to arrive on time to your lessons and ensure work is done on time which again really prepared me for university. Even though you are encouraged to be independent at Hugh Baird, you are supported when you need it the most.I was supported with my university application by the teaching staff and they event set up a mock interview for me to practice my interview skills. The staff go above and beyond to help the students and I would encourage anyone who is looking to study A-levels to consider Hugh Baird College, South Sefton Campus.
