Location:
Balliol Road Campus
Level:
Entry Level

Course Details

This Entry Level 2 course focuses on 'life skills', which are developed through practical activities and projects focused on students becoming as independent as possible.

Learners will undertake three certificates during the academic year. Units chosen from the programme support preparation for adulthood themes and are adapted to meet individual EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.

These courses help learners to grow in confidence as individuals and cover practical topics such as travelling independently, cooking for yourself and shopping.

Additionally, this programme is designed to support learners' sense of self, encouraging their ability to express themselves, manage emotions and build friendships. The programme aims to support independence, enable transition into a college environment from a specialist provision and minimise vulnerability in the community.
