Course Details

Our free GCSE Maths course for adults is ideal if you need it for a job, are looking to change your career or if you’re applying for further or higher education.

Level 2 mathematics skills are essential for increasing your scope for further study or employment.

This one year course offers many opportunities to develop your own ideas and abilities using materials specifically designed for learners aged 19 or over.

This course is a mix of classroom and home learning. You must be able to attend every tutorial session (one per month) for duration of the course and complete work assignments online, as well as completing at least three hours of independent study every week.

GCSE Maths

GCSE maths level 4 or higher is increasingly becoming a requirement for many higher level courses, such as teaching, nursing, social work, sciences and engineering.
Achieving a GCSE maths level 4 or higher (grade C or higher) will increase your opportunities to apply for a range of jobs and further courses.

You do not have to let a lack of money stop you from coming to Hugh Baird College. We have bursaries and grants in place to help support those students that may find it more difficult to cover the costs of participating in further education, these include help with things such as tuition fees, childcare and travel.
