Course Details

The course has been specifically designed for those who want to develop their practical skills in construction and who need to develop their English language skills.

You will take a variety of  theory and practical sessions within the Carpentry and Joinery department.

You will explore the construction industry, the various roles in construction and the skills needed to flourish in the industry. You will also understand how to develop your own skills for working in construction.

In addition to developing skills in Construction, you will also develop your English language skills and achieve an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) qualification.

  • The tools, equipment and materials used in carpentry and joinery
  • Tackle basic carpentry and joinery problems
  • The skills needed to work in the construction industry
  • Develop skills for working in construction
