Course Details
This course is designed for those working with Manufactured Assemblies (in particuluar Carpentry and Joinery) that are not created on site.
You will be assessed on your knowledge and understanding of the off-site manufactured assemblies sector, as well as your ability to demonstrate your competence in a real workplace environment.
You will be assessed against a set of performance and knowledge statements that have been derived from the National Occupational Standards for Construction Using Off-site Manufactured Assemblies Level 2. You will be assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you complete the pathway.
Here are some of the things that you will be assessed on:
- Your knowledge of the different types of off-site manufactured assemblies.
- Your understanding of the construction process for off-site manufactured assemblies.
- Your ability to use the appropriate tools and equipment for the construction of off-site manufactured assemblies.
- Your ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment.
- Your ability to communicate effectively with other members of the construction team.
The assessor will use a variety of methods to assess your competence, including observation, interviews, and portfolios. The assessor will also provide feedback to you throughout the assessment process.
The qualification demonstrates your skills and knowledge to employers, and it can lead to higher earnings and greater career opportunities.
This pathway supports you to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.
