Course Details
Learners will build an awareness of dementia, including an introduction to the different types and how they can affect individuals in different ways.
The course explores common myths around dementia and looks at the real impact the condition has on the person and those supporting them.
It also introduces the principles of a person-centred approach, helping learners understand how to work sensitively and effectively with people living with dementia.
- Dementia awareness

- Understand factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia
- Understand equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care
Level 1 Award in Dementia.
