Dementia Awareness - Level 2

Learners will develop an understanding of dementia, the different forms it can take, and the impact it has on both the individual and those around them. The course also builds knowledge of person-centred approaches to dementia care, helping learners understand how to support individuals with dignity and compassion.

Learners will explore how communication changes for people with dementia and how to adapt their own communication to create positive, meaningful interactions. The course also covers the key principles of equality, diversity and inclusion, which underpin all person-centred dementia care.
